Welcome to the Be Whole + Be Well + Be Wise Podcast with Dr. Shelly Tyler, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT and Dr. John Mark Tyler, DC, founders of Fiddlewood Farmacy, Functional Family Wellness. Through the lens of science-based AND Bible-based education, the Tylers are passionate to share the hope of Christ through their personal story of health, sickness, family struggles, and recovery. Until now, their voice has primarily been through presentations to the next generation of healthcare providers through continuing education instruction and adjunct teaching at the University of Evansville. Shelly is also the founder of Fiddlewood Farmacy (Functional Family Wellness) and the Restore Women's Health Summit. John Mark & Shelly both are employed at Rehabilitation & Performance Institute, PSC where they provide holistic physical therapy and chiropractic services to the families of Owensboro, Kentucky and the Fiddlewood Farmacy where they provide on-line functional wellness services to clients across the country. Shelly and John Mark live on Fiddlewood Farm in Kentucky, where they run an outdoor nature school (Fiddlewood Farm & Forest School), manage a small homestead, and enjoy the homeschool life with their three children: Grayson, Paxton, and Abbi Grace.

We will debunk four lies that we have been told by looking at both science and scripture on how to address the pelvic and psychological disorder of vaginismus, and speak on practical ways that we can move forward in our marriage.

Meet Katie:
Katie, a resident of Newburgh, Indiana, is a board-certified clinical specialist in the area of sports physical therapy and a full-time faculty member at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree in the area of exercise science as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She also completed formal sports physical therapy training through a Sports Residency Program.
At the University of Evansville, she teaches musculoskeletal content, including anatomy, in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Clinically, she works with Division I athletes at the University of Evansville. Her special interests include pelvic floor dysfunction, the adolescent female athlete, the postpartum female athlete, and sports injury prevention.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, and has 2 children, Harper (6) and Leo (3). Matt and Katie run the Young Adult Ministry as volunteers through Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh. She loves hosting people/events at her home and playing volleyball.
